this was probably one of the coolest gifts aiden received for his birthday from his aunt. she actually bought four. i guess it was one for each boy, which was quite thoughtful. tonight, i allowed my boys to be little artists by decorating their skateboard (that's for display only). they love art time. again, i rather do things with them like this than have them watch television or play video games.
i love how my little artists had the chance to express themselves by decorating their skateboard. they're unique in their own ways and i find that having art time can be very therapeutic, too. they kept showing off their art piece to me and of course, i had to make the ohhh's and ahh's because i wanted them to feel their sense of self-worth in what they do. it's a sense of accomplishment and pride.
they both told me that they plan to bring their skateboard to school this friday for share day. i wonder what they'll say or would they just stand there feeling shy.
anyways, i love doing simple activities with my boys. it keeps them from getting in trouble and allows them again to build on their motor skills.
