[day 44] mama's guilty pleasures

OK. Who doesn't love getting good deals on the web? I always look at daily deal sites like groupon, google offers, amazon local deals, plum district, etc to find something inexpensive to do with my family. it always appear to be a mission when i want it to be. well, groupon is currently offering $20 dollar for petting-zoo  visit for four with two train rides and dinosaur discovery or gemstone digs. (yes, i bought the deal).

we've never paid full price to go to zoomars and always wait for the deal to appear on groupon since it's not worth paying full price for admission plus adding all the activity cost.. it could get pretty expensive for a family of five. however, the deal used to be better, but with more people attending nowadays, (thanks to their continuous brand marketing on groupon) it lures people in. what usually happens when they do? people spend.

it was a good thing we decided to go today. i had to get my boys back on their sleep schedule since they've been off on spring break for a week. they've been sleeping at 9:30 p.m. rather than 8 p.m. and since school starts again tomorrow, i had to cut their nap short from 2 hours to 1 (only aiden & dylan). i am forever grateful that they knocked out while we drove there. while they were napping, i spent some QT with papa dang talking about random things. we were exploring the city and said we could never live here since it's too far from what we love.

zoomar was really fun today. our boys love feeding the animals, which was an additional $3 per baskets (not too shabby). dylan and evan always have to make their way to carry the animals somehow. papa dang needs to step up his game since he's scared of these little creatures. then, it was off to the train ride. of course, we couldn't leave without stopping by the miner's gulch, where aiden and dylan were panning for their gemstones, while the worker explained what they were, i think our boys zoned him out. i think they were more fascinated that once the dirt washed away, they found these beautiful rocks to put into their ziplock bags!

it was a great way to spend a couple of hours together before we headed back home. even as a grown mama, i enjoyed this petting zoo. the deal is still going on and is great for little ones.

love my boys. xoxo.
