Barbie Beach House Party

these pictures were taken with my iphone.

we were supposed to be in big bear over the weekend, but after talking to papa dang, we decided to stay home for the sake of baby batman, which gave us the opportunity to attend my friend's sons birthday bash at her barbie beach house. she calls it the "fun house". our boys had a fabulous time and so did we.

love my boys. xoxo.

Cruising Huntington Beach

i'm always lost in bliss when i hang out with my boys. it almost feels as a sense of accomplishment. i really don't know how to explain it. anyways, it was our first outing to the beach together with our newest addition. for late january, southern california had beautiful weather today and i simply asked papa dang to take our entire family to the beach for a nice stroll while letting batman and robin cruise on their bike. they loved it! we were planning to go to the festival, but opted out.

i realize as i'm pushing baby batman in his stroller across huntington beach pier that i'm living an inspired life. my boys really inspire me to live my life to the fullest.  also, capturing my kids through my lens really brings me joy and being able to share it with you allows their beauty to shine. i must say that it was such a perfect day in every way possible. i love that papa dang works in the morning and always make time to take us out because we're important. if you know our family, you will rarely find us without our boys. we love doing things together every day.

people often ask, "where on earth do i find time to blog with 3 kids?" it may sound impossible, but i actually only blog when my boys are sound asleep and make sure to squeeze in time because i love documenting our family spirit. papa dang and i developed a routine, which is fundamental in our family to make our life simple. one of the simple things we do is that all our boys nap at the same time. they know when it's nap time with the exception of baby batman and will go to sleep on their own. this gives us a break and time to refuel our energy. if i'm slacking on my blog, it's due to exhaustion, reading, cleaning, or spending quality time with papa dang.  eh... the normal things.

after today, i can't wait for summer to come ......

love my boys. xoxo.

we even stopped to listen to these girls. i think they're sisters. you'll see aiden run across the video. haha.

Puzzle Time

it started a few months ago and now, they're both addicted to doing puzzle. i would personally say that aiden has mastered the skills of putting together 24 and 48 piece puzzles by himself, whereas dilly still needs assistance. aiden is always proud when he completes his puzzle and normally shows it off for a compliment. i was surprised he caught on so quick. i told him to match the colors and eventually, he figured the rest out by himself. however, when people are around, he may or may not pretend he knows what he's doing. it all depends on his mood.

i love how we picked up several puzzles from the dollar tree store for only $1 dollar a box and the other puzzles were purchased from target, barnes, and costco! they were all a steal! there are so many things you can do with your kids to have fun and puzzle time is something we do in our household together. remember, a family who plays together, stays together.

love my boys. xoxo.

Keeping Promises.

papa dang went to a wedding without me over the weekend since i recently went into labor. i stayed home with our boys and made a promise to aiden and dilly. i told them if they quietly fell asleep, papa would be taking them to see the dinosaur at the discovery science center tomorrow. they knocked out within 5 minutes. the following morning, they were beyond ecstatic to go and hell, they remembered.

kids always remember what you tell them and i always make sure i come through with every promise i make. it builds a trust system. i would personally say, it's a verbal contract and even though promises sometime cannot be kept, i make sure the efforts i've made are shown. plus, you've got to keep in mind that promises are commitments to building a successful family relationship. trust me, i don't make promises i can't keep. i think that's wrong. i never ever want to let our kids down.

the funny thing is papa had no idea - but never resist the urge to take our boys out for a few hours. he's a great dad! i always have plans for our boys. it's important they get out of the house for some fun several times a week.

so, why the dinosaur? our boys would always see the dinosaur ever time we pass the discovery science center on the 55 freeway. they've seen them before, but recently, they would get excited. we also have a membership at the center. it's inexpensive and for our family, an annual membership cost only $99. if you're a local OC resident, i would highly recommend purchasing the membership. we've gone numerous times with our kids and they loved all the exhibits.

papa dang and our not-so-little anymore boys watched the dinosaur of patagonia and roam around the center. it looked like they had a great time. aiden came home telling me all about the dinosaur and dilly kept making this roaring sound. he's funny.

love my boys. xoxo.
